Situation:
Hoffman Engineering was upgrading their flagship industrial enclosure line to compete with Rital, a global leader in the industry and Hoffman Engineering's main competitor. An improved aesthetic and improved performance features were both needed to capture market share.
Proline
Client: Hoffman Engineering
Process:
John Jancsek, Founder of SDSA, worked directly for the product engineering group in the design, development and testing of the latching systems, mechanical interlocks systems and the overall Proline product line. The engagement included designing enclosure systems for earthquake resistant Seismic Proline models, EMI shielded enclosures for the Proline Network enclosure models and PC Enclosure systems for manufacturing floor type environments.
Solution:
The Latching systems were design and then rigorously tested to ensure robust long lasting performance. Zinc die casting manufacturing of the system was set up in Minnesota with 1st Article inspections conducted in Rochester, MN and in Anoka, MN.
Once the designs for the Sies
The Proline product line was launched and has now been completely documented in all sizes. The first earthquake resistant Proline Seismic Enclosure system was installed at the John Wayne International Airport to protect the electrical controls for the runway lighting system.
